Rick Snyder: Michigan's Comeback Kid
When Rick Snyder first ran for governor in 2010, he believed that Michigan was ready for a change. His mission was to create more and better jobs and a brighter future for our kids. And that's what he has done.
Today we're seeing the results of Rick Snyder's "relentless positive action." Since Rick Snyder took office, Michigan has created more than 220,000 private sector jobs, and our state is #1 in the country for states that have recovered most from the Great Recession.
But jobs aren't the only thing that are coming back. Under Rick Snyder, personal incomes are growing higher -- Michigan is tied for 1st among Great Lakes states for per capita personal income growth. Home sales and values are increasing, and our state's population is growing again, too.
Thanks to Rick Snyder, Michigan is making a comeback.
