Dan and Pamella DeVos Endorse Rick Snyder

Ann Arbor, MI --Today, Rick Snyder’s gubernatorial campaign announced the endorsement of Dan and Pamella DeVos, two of Grand Rapids’ leading entrepreneurs and philanthropists.

Dan DeVos, president and CEO of DP Fox Ventures, cited Rick’s vision and economic leadership in his decision to support Rick Snyder’s candidacy for governor.

“Rick Snyder is exactly the type of leader Michigan needs to guide our state out of the economic troubles we’re suffering from and provide long-term solutions. Rick has a clear vision for the future of Michigan that will ignite an era of innovation and he’s put together a common sense 10 point plan to reinvent Michigan,” said Dan DeVos. “I am proud to endorse his candidacy for Governor and will work hard to help him win this election and reinvent our state.”

“He has a proven track record of job creation and economic leadership in both large and small companies,” continued DeVos. “Rick’s experience as a catalyst for innovation and his entrepreneurial background make him uniquely prepared to reform state government and repair a broken political system. Rick is someone who gets results and I am confident that he’ll be able to deliver the solutions he’s offering in Lansing.”

Pamella DeVos also highlighted Rick’s economic credentials and his effort to provide a better future in Michigan for young people.

“Rick understands what it will take to provide an environment where our young people will want to stay in Michigan,” said Pamella DeVos. “Our families are being torn apart by today’s economic challenges and we need a governor whom will not rest until young people can find the opportunity and quality of life they desire in our state. Rick is the best candidate to reinvent Michigan and lead the state through these difficult times.” 

Rick Snyder thanked Dan and Pamella DeVos for their endorsement and welcomed them to his campaign.

“I’m proud to have both Dan and Pamella DeVos on our Reinvent Michigan Team,” said Snyder. “They have been tremendous leaders in Grand Rapids and their philanthropic and entrepreneurial contributions to our state have had an enormous impact. About Dan and Pamella DeVos

Dan and Pamella DeVos are widely acknowledged as leading philanthropists and entrepreneurs. They have offered a tremendous amount of support to higher education and the arts in the Grand Rapids area and around the country. They have been active in supporting numerous institutions with leadership and financial support.

Dan DeVos serves as president and chief executive officer of DP Fox Ventures, a Grand Rapids based business and management firm that has more than 500 employees in Michigan. Fox Motors has 17 locations, representing 34 brands in locations from Grand Rapids to Marquette. In addition, the firm is involved in the residential and commercial real estate business as developer, contractor, broker and manager. DeVos is also on the governing board of the Orlando Magic, president and CEO of the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL) and a member of the board of Alticor, Inc..

DeVos is past chairman of the Grand Rapids Symphony and is on the Board of Trustees of his alma mater Northwood University and Spectrum Health Hospitals. Currently, he serves as Chairman of Hope Network and the Hope Network Foundation.

Pamella DeVos is the President and designer for her Pamella Roland line of fine women’s clothing. Started in 2002 and based in New York City, Pamella Roland clothing is sold by leading retailers across the county and around the world. Pamella has won numerous awards for her designs.

Pamella’s current Grand Rapids involvement includes the Grand Rapids Art Museum, Grand Rapids Symphony, Grand Valley State University, and the Grand Rapids Griffins Youth Foundation. She is also a trustee of the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City and a board member of the Children’s Scholarship Fund.
