Ann Arbor, MI – Today, the Rick for Michigan campaign released their official debate and joint forum schedule and announced that the Reinvent Michigan Tour will feature over 50 Economic Town Halls across the state of Michigan as Rick shares his vision and plan directly with the citizens.
“I look forward to sharing my message directly with the citizens of our great state through a substantive conversation, rather than soundbites. As I take my vision and plan to reinvent Michigan to the voters, I am confident that they will agree that this critical election should be a transformative moment in Michigan’s history,” said Rick Snyder. “I have traveled around the state sharing my message and debating my opponents and the contrast has been crystal clear. Voters have a choice between career politicians who are products of a broken political system and a results-oriented candidate who’s created jobs in the private sector and offers solutions to start a new era in Michigan. In the months ahead, I encourage my opponents to rise above petty politics and focus on the economic challenges facing our state."
After already participating in more than a dozen debates and forums with the other candidates hosted by Republican groups, the Michigan Press Association, business groups and other organizations, the campaign has agreed to participate in a half dozen debate and forums between now and the August primary. Although the campaign has received well over 20 debate invitations, these debates were agreed to because they fairly reflect a wide spectrum of the groups and issues that are important in this election and Michigan’s future.
