Ann Arbor, MI -- Tonight, at the League of Conservation Voters Forum, Rick Snyder provided voters with a strong case for why he would be able to deliver economic growth while protecting and enhancing the environment. In the joint appearance Snyder substantively answered questions on a host of issues ranging from protecting the Great Lakes, state budget, alternative energy, tourism, fishing, hunting and Michigan's economic future.

"Rick's presence at this forum and his command of the issues sets him even further apart from the career politicians in this race, particularly those who declined to participate. He's been both a job creator and an environmental leader through his role with The Nature Conservancy for years and Rick delivered a compelling case for why environmental protection and Michigan's economic future are intertwined," said Suski. "He offered voters substantive solutions on important issues that matter and exemplified the leadership the next Governor should provide. Whether it was addressing threats to the Great Lakes, the role of alternative energy in Michigan's economic future, energy costs, or other issues, Rick proved that he's the right candidate to lead the state forward."

Earlier this evening, the Rick for Michigan campaign released another white-paper from Rick's 10-point plan to Reinvent Michigan which addressed the threat aquatic invasive species pose to the Great Lakes and Michigan's economy. The policy can be found here.
